Practices have been pretty interesting lately. We’ve been slowly learning offensive plays and trying to put all the little pieces together. It’s been fun trying to chit chat amongst ourselves trying to figure out the best way to accomplish what the coach wants, and minimizing the amount we get yelled at for. I was half asleep at practice on Sunday, thanks to a soccer referrer’s clinic I attended all weekend, but managed to at least figure out all the plays we had covered. Thankfully last night, I was in much better shape, sleep wise, and man did that help a lot. It’s been hard doing the whole balance thing, between work, family, sleep, training, and all the other litter things I have going. Doing the ref clinic all weekend really knocked me off my routine and I’m amazed at how out of sorts that is making me. I’ve also been deemed the team recorder after showing up with notebook in hand, writing down all the plays we were covering. It was easier to understand things once I had them written down and apparently a lot of others think so too.
All that juggling can take a toll. Don't let it get you down. One day it all clicks and it's completely worth it!
